CAS STNext® webinar: CAS STNext: A year in review

Sarah Stokes has been involved with the global STN organization since 2003. They have served as a librarian searcher for the US government, an applications specialist at CAS, a patent analyst at Landon IP, a regional manager and trainer for FIZ Karlsruhe, and now as a Senior Product Specialist focusing on Intellectual Property. Sarah’s academic background is in biochemistry and epidemiology.

Jim Brown is presently the Senior Product Specialist IP Representing CAS for FIZ Karlsruhe in the U.S. Jim joined FIZ Karlsruhe, Inc. in 2008 as a Regional Sales Manager after working at IFI Claims Patent Services for 23 years. His current duties at FIZ Karlsruhe Inc. include customer trainings, authoring workshop manuals and presentations, and representing CAS and FIZ Karlsruhe at conferences. Jim was on the PIUG Board of Directors from June 2010 to June 2012 in the position of secretary; from June 2012 to 2014 he served on the PIUG Board of Directors as Vice-Chair.

Jan provides expert training related to CAS’ scientific and IP information solutions and has been working with CAS data since 2010 at different institutions. Jan holds degrees in Biology and Economical Geography and Economics.
