Linda J. Carter has been an information scientist at CAS for over 30 years. Her graduate degrees in virology included a Master’s degree in plant pathology from Purdue University working with viruses present in plant pathogenic fungi, and a Ph.D. degree in veterinary pathobiology from The Ohio State University working with the feline leukemia and sarcoma viruses. Her postdoctoral research involved studies on the Human T-Cell lymphotropic/leukemia viruses HTLV-I and HTLV-II. Prior to joining CAS she was assistant director of research operations at The Ohio State University Biotechnology Center.
